Hello Everyone!
My name is Kaylee Curry, and I am a freshman at Florida State University majoring in Elementary Education! I am originally from Lake City, Florida, but now home is in Jacksonville, Florida. I come from a huge family, with twenty first cousins and only two siblings. I love to travel, and have been to twenty-eight countries so far, and have so many more I want to go to! I love watching almost all sports, but basketball and football are definitely my favorites. I love the Warriors ( got to support the Curry family) and love the Jags. (#DTWD)
I have used technology in an educational setting for basically my whole life. I was home-schooled until eighth grade, so I relied totally on online schooling. When I actually went to school, my school used projectors to display information, like many do. I have used many online resources to better my education, with programs such as MyMathLab. This year, I have used iclickers, which is an easier way for teachers to take attendance with technology. All of these experiences with technology in an education setting have only helped me, and are getting even more beneficial.
In this class, Intro to Education Technology, I hope to learn the many different ways that technology can be used to enhance education everywhere. Technology is taking over our world, more and more each day, and I want to learn from this class how to use that to my advantage through education. There are so many different ways that I know technology could help teachers and students that I have not even thought about, and I am excited to learn about as many as I can from this class. Technology is something that is always changing and getting better, so in this class I want to learn how to keep up with it.

ReplyDeleteIt must have been amazing visiting so many different countries and getting to experience the different cultures. I, personally, have never been out of the country. Do you have any favorites? Where would you like to go next?
