The ELA technology standards I feel most prepared for teach elementary, or Kindergarten through 6th grade ELA standards. While I know how to use different forms and multimedia works, in order to actually teach it to others I think I need more help on visual graphics. Kindergarten through 6th grade is pretty basic use of the internet, different medias, and different presentations. I am already up to date on the knowledge that these ELA standards include, so I feel comfortable teaching them.
I think one of the tools in the CPALMS Educator Toolkit that I would like to use are the standards themselves. This way, I would know what criteria that I have to teach. To me, this is helpful to refer to the minimum skills that are needed to be taught in order to keep my students up to date. These standards would help me to formulate my lesson plan, even if not getting every detail. This would give me some guideline on what to teach, and form there I could go whatever way I wanted to, and what topics I wanted to go more in depth on. So, definitely the tool I would use the most in the CPALMS Educator Toolkit would be the standards to help to to understand what I need to teach
From the Newsletter document I made, I learned how to use many new features on Word. For example, I now know how to insert images, turn my text into two columns, add a border and a banner, and many more features. I liked how there are so many features on Word, however I feel like I know my way around google drive more than I do on Microsoft Word. From this assignment of the newsletter, i learned how to organize information in an aesthetically pleasing way. I will be able to use this in the future to make actual newsletters for my classroom, flyers, or simply just wall decorations. This assignment taught me many useful skills with simply how to better with word, but can be used so much throughout my life.

Blog Post #0 - About Me and Technology

Hello Everyone! My name is Kaylee Curry, and I am a freshman at Florida State University majoring in Elementary Education! I am originally from Lake City, Florida, but now home is in Jacksonville, Florida. I come from a huge family, with twenty first cousins and only two siblings. I love to travel, and have been to twenty-eight countries so far, and have so many more I want to go to! I love watching almost all sports, but basketball and football are definitely my favorites. I love the Warriors ( got to support the Curry family) and love the Jags. (#DTWD) I have used technology in an educational setting for basically my whole life. I was home-schooled until eighth grade, so I relied totally on online schooling.  When I actually went to school, my school used projectors to display information, like many do. I have used many online resources to better my education, with programs such as MyMathLab. This year, I have used iclickers, which is an easier way for teachers to take attend...

Project #3 Blog!

Growing up in a homeschool setting has an effect on all aspects of a students life. I was homeschooled and there are things in my life that were totally different then they were for those who actually went to school. When I got accepted into college, I was expecting for the transition from being homeschooled to actually living away from home to be the most dramatic difference I had ever experienced. Even though I have had so many different adjustments in my life as a result of being homeschooled, I was prepared for this one to be the worst. However, I was happily proven wrong. College is where many kids grow into adults and gain their independence. They learn that things are not revolving around them and people will not cater to them. I felt like I had already had some of that knowledge worked into my brain, because I previously had to teach myself everything, and if something did not work out for me, school wise, it was no ones fault but my own, which I understood. I felt like this...

ILP #2 - Design Google Classroom!

Hi everyone! This week I completed an independent learning project, which is a way to use my own interests to gain professional development in educational technology. I used the tool of GoogleClassroom to create a classroom webpage, where students could go and see all the worksheets they needed to do and when they were due, in all of their classes. They could click on classwork and scroll through each subject to see what is due and when. I really liked how on google classroom there is a stream page to scroll and see all assignments that are due in one place. I attached the link to my google classroom page below, and screenshots of the main page. Link to my Google Classroom: You must log into to google to access, and the CODE is 59imczm https://classroom.google.com/u/0/c/MjYzMjIzMjM2MDNa Screenshot Images of my Google Classroom Website: Thank you for reading!  Kaylee Curry
